We recently partnered with the Downtown Alliance to provide transit passes to Utah citizens encouraging the use of public transportation during red air days. We have received a tremendous response, and we appreciate the commitment so many are making to help clean the air.
The webform is now closed due to the high number of entries. We have donated nearly 2,500 UTA day passes to individuals along the Wasatch Front, and we thank those who participated and pledged to help clear the air through public transit.
Poor air quality is a community challenge that will require collective action by many to improve. We can all help reduce pollution by using mass transit, reducing idle time, telecommuniting, trip chaining or carpooling.
Below are helpful resources for reducing air pollution:
- Choose clean air
- Subscribe to air quality email updates
- Kennecott’s air quality initiatives
